Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ShopperQuiz, operated by ShopperQuiz ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using ShopperQuiz, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service​

ShopperQuiz is a product recommendation quiz builder for Shopify and WooCommerce merchants. It is accessible at app.shopper-quiz.com. The quiz widget embeds on your storefront via a Shopify Theme App Extension or WooCommerce shortcode/Gutenberg block.

2. Eligibility​

You must be at least 18 years old and have the authority to bind the business on whose behalf you are using ShopperQuiz. By using ShopperQuiz, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Accounts​

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@shopper-quiz.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

Each ShopperQuiz account connects to one store — either Shopify or WooCommerce. To use ShopperQuiz on multiple stores, create a separate account for each.

4. Plans and billing​

Free plan — available to all accounts at no cost, subject to usage limits.

Paid plans — billed monthly. Your plan activates immediately upon payment confirmation.

  • Shopify merchants are billed through Shopify's managed billing system. Cancellation is handled by uninstalling the ShopperQuiz app from your Shopify admin.
  • WooCommerce merchants are billed through Paystack. To cancel, contact support@shopper-quiz.com.

We reserve the right to change plan pricing. We will give at least 30 days' notice before price changes take effect for existing subscribers.

No refunds — payments are non-refundable except where required by law. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact support@shopper-quiz.com within 14 days.

5. Acceptable use​

You agree not to:

  • Use ShopperQuiz to collect data from shoppers without their knowledge or in violation of applicable privacy laws
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the ShopperQuiz source code
  • Use ShopperQuiz to send spam, distribute malware, or engage in any fraudulent activity
  • Resell, sublicense, or white-label ShopperQuiz without written permission
  • Abuse the API or attempt to circumvent usage limits

6. Your data​

You retain ownership of all quiz content, product data, and response data associated with your account. You grant us a limited license to store and process this data for the purpose of providing the service.

We do not sell your data or your shoppers' data. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how data is handled.

7. Shopify and WooCommerce platform terms​

Your use of ShopperQuiz in connection with Shopify is also subject to Shopify's Terms of Service. Your use in connection with WooCommerce is subject to WooCommerce's Terms of Service. ShopperQuiz is an independent service — we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a partner of Shopify Inc. or Automattic.

8. Availability and uptime​

We aim to keep ShopperQuiz available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible. We are not liable for downtime caused by third-party services or circumstances outside our control.

9. Limitation of liability​

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShopperQuiz and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service — including lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of ShopperQuiz shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination​

You may terminate your account at any time using the Delete Account option in Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or abuse the service. Upon termination, your data is deleted immediately.

11. Changes to these Terms​

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of ShopperQuiz after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law​

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.
